Company commits to help Nigeria with diarrhea and malaria prevention

Consumer health and hygiene company Reckitt Benckiser (RB) recently committed itself to helping Nigeria with its prevention efforts against diarrhea and malaria.

The company’s goal is for Nigeria to be a country where people can live healthfully. To achieve this goal, the company will continue to provide Nigeria with innovative solutions.

“RB’s heritage in Nigeria spans over 53 years with health, hygiene and home portfolio led by global brands like Dettol, Nurofen, Strepsils, Gaviscon, Durex, Dettol, Harpic, Mortein and Air Wick,” Reckitt Benckiser Global CEO Rakesh Kapoor said. “Nigeria also serves as the West African hub driving business development, opening up new markets and portfolio expansion across the West African Coast.”

Kapoor is collaborating with Nigeria to continue the partnership, and recent improvements have shown hope for the nation and its health programs.

“RB has a long term vision for Nigeria to set more ambitious goals on how Dettol plays a larger role in diarrhea prevention and Mortein in malaria prevention,” Kapoor said. “We also plan to bring right innovations to support the government to improve health and hygiene habits across Nigeria.”
