Municipal officials under fire as Dengue fever threatens Delhi
The government has agreed that it will provide the organizations with as many resources as possible to handle the health situation. In addition, Sisodia requested that officials with the MCD offer details about manpower and resources right away including financial details that will be needed to take these preventive steps. These include providing anti-larvae medicine spray, widespread fogging, and even door-to-door house visits that will serve as surprise checks on a war footing.
There is current panic that is spreading through vested interests, which Sisodia informed MCD officials must be stopped as soon as possible. He also called on officials to make their prevention efforts visible to the public.
The Indian government has received many complaints from residents and legislators about the lack of house visits as well as fogging from the MCD staff. The most recent meeting of these officials included the NDMC chairman, all deputy commissioners, three municipal corporations, the divisional commissioner, and senior Delhi government officials.
