FluNada available in more than 5,000 pharmacies this season
FluNada is a non-prescription homeopathic treatment that uses natural ingredients, such as elderberry, eucalyptus and menthol, to help alleviate the symptoms that come from a common cold and influenza infection. It is the only treatment that coats the throat and nasal pathways, the most common entry points for pathogens into the body.
FluNada was created to help prevent the replication of viruses in the body. It is non-drowsy and alleviates numerous symptoms, which include sore throat, stuffy nose, body aches, runny nose and cough that arise from cold and flu infections.
"The introduction of FluNada to retail pharmacies offers patients a new and different option for natural cold and flu symptom relief this season," Registered Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Doctor Suzy Cohen said. "Patients can infect others around them even before they experience symptoms, and up to seven days after, so early treatment of symptoms is critical to minimize exposure to the virus."
In clinical studies, FluNada showed an efficacy rate of greater than 99.9 percent against multiple common cold and flu strains within five minutes. Medical professionals are hopeful that FluNada can bring relief to those that will suffer from common cold and influenza infections this season.
"Arming patients with a solution that is specifically designed to target cold and flu viruses at the primary points of entry, the throat and nose, may help reduce the symptoms of influenza this season," Cohen said.
