Calgary Scientific Inc., a company that develops technology for the medical industry, recently announced that its ResolutionMD® medical imaging software has received Class II certification.
The imaging software, which can be used on the web and on mobile devices, assists physicians in the diagnosis process.
The certification can only be granted by Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). With the PMDA certification, Japanese health professionals can use ResolutionMD® without any limitations to access the web, Android or iOS units from any location around the world to clinically diagnose illnesses.
"Obtaining this PMDA certificate is another significant milestone for Calgary Scientific as we continue to expand globally," Calgary Scientific President Pierre Lemire said. "I am pleased that ResolutionMD® can now be used in Japan, enabling practitioners to make faster, more informed treatment decisions in their pursuit to deliver a new standard of patient care."
The PMDA certificate has the same guidelines and standards as certification organizations in the U.S., China, Europe, Canada and Australia.
