Between Feb. 2 and Feb. 9, the 10 states that made the most gains against the flu virus were: California, Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina and Idaho.

During that same time frame, the top 10 cities in making gains against the flu were: El Paso; Fresno, California; Sacramento, California; Jackson; Huntsville; San Francisco, California; San Diego, California; Los Angeles, California; Peoria, Illinois; and South Bend, Indiana.

The Walgreens Flu Index is  a weekly report that provides market- and state-specific information about a specific region’s flu rates. The hyper-local data from the flu index can be narrowed down to the flu activity at a single zip code, enabling communities and health care leaders to be more aware of the flu and make wise decisions about preventative measures.
