New leaders recently joined the board of directors at the Malaria No More organization.

Christopher Combe will co-chair the board. He will serve with Peter Chernin, the other co-chair of the directors. Combe has previous experience with business acumen. His main role will be support in moving toward the strategic goals of the organization.

In addition, Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton, who also is the chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment, has joined the board of directors. Lynton brings his leadership experience from his role at Sony, where he supervises the music, television, film and digital content production operations of the company.

Namal Nawana, the CEO and President of Alere, has been included in the board of directors. During her time with Alere, Nawana has become the top producer of malaria diagnostics.

“The next phase of the malaria fight will require the innovative solutions and global experience represented by Chris, Michael and Namal in their respective careers,” Malaria No More CEO Martin Edlund said. “We are incredibly proud to have them all serving on our board of directors and look forward to their invaluable contributions as we work to put the world on a path to end malaria in our generation.”
