Mobile Health rolls out workplace vaccination program

Mobile Health announced on Wednesday that it rolled out a new workplace vaccination program that allows employers to provide influenza vaccinations to their employees in a convenient, cost-effective way.

Employers seek to minimize the loss in productivity that influenza causes for their companies each year. In the United States alone, the influenza costs the economy an estimated $71 to $167 billion each year. Mobile Health has a vision of helping workplaces reach 100 percent vaccination rates and offers unique, convenient services to make it possible.

Mobile Health has clinics in each of the five boroughs in New York City and in Nassau County in Long Island, making it convenient for anyone who lives in or near NYC to get their flu shot. The company also offers multiple options for vaccination.

Employees can receive a digital voucher at their work locations for an express immunization, which guarantees a person will receive the flu vaccine within 15 minutes of registration. Employees can redeem these vouchers at any Mobile Health location.

Mobile Health also offers a mobile clinic, which brings the clinic to the workplace. With this option, employees can receive immunizations while on their lunch breaks or during another designated time. Mobile Health is able to bill employers, employees or directly bill an insurance company.

Mobile Health spent years understanding the challenges to corporate vaccination programs to create a program that meets a variety of needs. It hopes the program will help achieve its vision of universal flu vaccination at workplaces across NYC.
