Greater Gift Initiative partners with Benchmark Research for childhood vaccines

Greater Gift Initiative, Inc., a Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based not-for-profit organization, announced a new partnership on Thursday with Benchmark Research, Inc., to increase donations for childhood vaccines and expand the not-for-profit's positive healthcare impact.

Greater Gift Initiative is a philanthropic connector between clinical trial sites, individual investigators, sponsors and clinical research organizations with the goal of gifting vaccines to children in need. Benchmark Research is a multi-therapeutic network of clinical research sites located in California, Texas and Louisiana.

"Benchmark Research is a valued new partner," Becca Chase, the executive director of the Greater Gift Initiative, said. "Their emphasis on vaccine research and participation with VaxNet, a network of research sites that specialize in multi-therapeutic vaccine trials, makes them an ideal partner in our mission to advance global health through our initiatives emphasizing the importance of clinical trial participants and the donation of vaccines to honor their work."

The Greater Gift Initiative donates vaccines through its partnerships with Rotary International's End Polio Now campaign and the GAVI Alliance. The organization gifts a vaccine to a child in need in honor of each clinical trial volunteer.

"Partnering with the Greater Gift Initiative is a tremendous opportunity for Benchmark to give back to our research volunteers as well as to make a difference in the lives of children in need," Mark Lacy, the founder and CEO of Benchmark Research, said. "With our focus on conducting quality vaccine research, the Benchmark team is excited to have a meaningful way to honor the participants who make successful clinical trials possible through the gift of life-saving vaccines."
