WHO chief yet to be vaccinated against H1N1

GENEVA — World Health Organization chief Margaret Chan revealed Dec. 29 that she has yet to be vaccinated against the H1N1 flu virus, which has killed more than 11,500 people worldwide.

"I have asked my medical service to enquire where I can go to get my vaccination," she told reporters in Geneva, pointing out that she has just returned from leave.

The WHO director-general stressed that she would "of course" get vaccinated and that "many of my staff" at the WHO have already taken their jabs against the A (H1N1) virus, Agence France Presse reported.
