California Immunization Coalition Summit set for April

The 2015 California Immunization Coalition Summit -- “Ready, Set, Vaccinate!” -- will take place April 26-27 at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Calif., the coalition said on its website.

The conference aims to help ensure nurses and physicians can adapt available tools and resources to a changing immunization landscape as new issues emerge, as well as demonstrate how local programs can implement successful practices and models to promote lifelong immunization habits while promoting the safety and efficacy of immunizations.

For nursing accreditation, the Perinatal Advisory Council is an approved provider under the California Board of Registered Nursing Provider CEP 5862, and for physicians, this conference has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association’s CME Accreditation Standards through the Joint Sponsorship of the Perinatal Advisory Council and California Immunization Coalition.

The deadline to submit abstracts for the conference is Friday, Jan. 23.

Attendees are also encouraged to submit a nomination for either the Natalie J. Smith M.D. Award or the Ronald P. Bangasser M.D. Award. The winners will be announced and recognized at the summit.

Online registration is ongoing, and hotel reservations can be made by calling 800-843-7755 or 951-784-0300, ext. 850. Attendees must mention the California Immunization Coalition when making reservations.
